We suspect that the passage of the Act is deliberately done to divert attention from other more germane issues within the polity.
While the government should have busied itself with developmental issues and fighting corruption, it decided to institutionalise hate.
The Act is also likely to be used as a tool for fighting political opponents.
The law is condemnable and it is hereby condemned.
We will consider and explore the possibility of challenging the constitutionality of the law in court.
